Sr. Learning & Development Specialist

In the first year, the Sr. Learning and Development Specialist’s primary responsibility will be working with the team that is designingtesting, and implementing a new LMS system, as well as, creating a blended-learning onboarding structure for our team members! This is a great opportunity to be on the ground floor of a growing L&D team that is building the learning function within an excited and collaborative organization.

Some of the core responsibilities you will have as the Sr. Learning and Development Specialist: 

  • Conduct specific training needs assessments, as needed, to support the design, development and delivery of corporate training programs and strategies.

  • Review controlled policies, SOPs and employee instructions for consistency and accuracy of identified processes.
  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs, as well as ongoing learning opportunities across the organization, in support of the organizational needs.
  • Incorporate all compliance, health & safety required trainings, develop a blended learning approach to on-boarding that will provide our team members with hands-on onboarding experiences.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of all training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools and practices.

  • Identify ways to best test for knowledge retention on an ongoing basis and incorporate into the full training methodology.
  • Participate and assist in the development and delivery of the learning and development calendar of events.

  • Ensure all company training is loaded into the LMS for one source of truth in training operations throughout the company.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience working in a learning and development function of an organization.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or any other related field is required. 
  • Or an equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience working in a Windows environment.
  • Expertise in implementing and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Minimal travel, up to 25% of the time, to visit company locations, meet with key stake holders, conduct training programs, and collaborate with vendor partners.
