Sr. HR Generalist

This role is responsible for supporting the Director of HR in all facets of human resources including: compensation, staffing, training and development, employee relations, compliance, engagement, special projects and Human Resources Information Systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment and excel at delivering customer centric HR services to a diverse client group. This position will help support (6) locations in both the US and Canada.

  • Partner with Director of HR to support client base; act as first contact to employees and resolve questions and concerns, know when to escalate matters to the Director of HR

  • Address employee relations issues through effective, thorough and objective investigations
  •  
  • Act as a thought partner and coach to managers on processes and conversations to address and resolve employee relations issues and consults with legal when necessary
  •  
  • Act as Workday super user, support training and process, record, and maintain employee data changes within Workday HCM
  •  
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies focused on performance and talent management, workforce planning, training and development, and employee engagement
  •  
  • Partner with manager and talent acquisition to recruit and select qualified candidates : draft job descriptions, interview, draft offer letters, etc.
  •  
  • Manage both onboarding and off boarding processes, from facilitation of new hire orientation to separation
  •  
  • Recommend, review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee engagement in order to recommend systemic improvements
  •  
  • Drive operational excellence and efficiency in HR processes to enable the organization to respond to changing priorities
  •  
  • Partner with Director of HR in the development and execution of strategic team objectives, processes and structure
  •  
  • Identify, develop, and facilitate company-wide training
  •  
  • Promote employee engagement and support employee engagement survey roll-out; lead workshops as needed
  •  
  • Maintain compliance through employee personnel and I-9 filing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Business, or related field

  • 5-7 years’ progressive Human Resources experience

    Broad experience in Human Resources functions, including: Employee Relations, Compensation, Staffing, Training and Development, Compliance, Engagement, and Human Resources Information System

  • Experience as a business partner to a specified client group supporting business leaders at the Senior Manager/Director level and below, strongly preferred

  • Strong analytical capabilities -- able to analyze data in various forms and recommend appropriate actions

  • Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results

  • Demonstrated experience in handling sensitive situations and details with high degree of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality, exhibit a high level of integrity at all times

  • Working knowledge of both federal and state employment laws and regulations

  • Workday HCM experience, strongly preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully work in a matrix organization

  • Strong collaborator and ability to work independently

  • Proactive and flexible problem solving skills

  • Basic business acumen and willingness to learn our business and key drivers

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
