District Manager

Green Bay, WI
*** Location:  To be based in Green Bay, Wisconsin and/or the surrounding area.  Ability to travel to Green Bay and Door County stores as needed, and any new locations that may be acquired or opened. ***

This position will manage and oversee store operations for 3 current stores, in addition to oversight of new store acquisitions. Develops multi-unit store strategies along with marketing and merchandising plans specific to each store and assures timely execution of the strategies/plans. Creates a culture that increases sales, fosters and develops a consultative selling environment and provides excellent customer service.  Leads and directs the management team at each store and provides thought leadership and best in class solutions.

Ensures and directs the stores to operate in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and store policies including, but not limited to, employee processes, employee file maintenance and compliance and management of all financial documents and reporting systems.

Coaches and provides leadership to management team to ensure associates deliver an outstanding and unmatched consistent customer experience in compliance with company strategies.
 
Qualifications and Duties:
  • Manager experience to manage business and all employees
  • Strong retail experience and acumen
  • Retail marketing and merchandising experience
  • Ability and experience in managing multiple store locations
  • Initiative to take charge of situations
  • Manage retail leadership team, hire, and train new employees and motivate current associates
  • Plan store layout and displays that encourage customer shopping and promote products and store differentiation
  • Address and resolve customer concerns as needed
  • Achieve all sales targets; plan and execute sales strategies, analyze sales data and work to increase market share
Minimum Type and Years of Related Experience Required:
  • Previous retail store management and multi-unit experience required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years retail experience required
 
Additional Qualifications:
  • Must travel regularly to visit retail stores
  • Requires the ability to work independently, make decisions and take the initiative to solve customer and employee concerns
  • Leadership, management, organizational and problem-solving skills a must
  • Strong communication skills required to drive sales and performance
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds regularly and climb ladders
  • Ability to stand and move about for extended periods of time with only short rest brakes
 
Minimum Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
